More about SOLASOLV® sunscreens for crane cabins
The shade film is available in four colours – GOLD and SILVER Reflective, and GREY and BRONZE Non-reflective. The specialist shade film is constructed using layers of polyester film. The film is dyed to reduce glare and the heat is rejected by the layer of aluminium laminated inside the polyester layers. A UV inhibitor is embedded in the polyester film to help eliminate most of the harmful UV light from the sun. GREY film is available with a scratch resistant coating. Roller screens are only required during daylight hours and should be retracted at night.
The shade film is mounted onto a heavy-duty aluminium roller inside an anodised aluminium cassette headbox with integral brush strip to protect from dust and dirt. They are effective, reliable and durable. The film is not affected by sub-zero temperatures, tropical heat or humidity. An important factor for roller screens which are used in specialised work areas, on construction and mining equipment, and locations that are not accessible for normal maintenance and repairs. Non-cassette screens are also available.
Cranes often have windows that slope forwards or backwards, and skylights.
• Order screens with constant spring tension rollers and double pulley bottom rails. Constant tension spring operation can be installed at any angle and keeps the roller screen in constant tension so it can be stopped anywhere and the cord will not go across the glass when the screen is up.
• Screens can be tapered (shaped) on one side or both sides. To install from the top of the window, the top of the screen must be wider than the bottom. If windows are wider at the bottom the screen must be mounted on the bottom of the window frame.
• Available with or without side guide channels and / or guide cables. Screens can be mounted top fix, face fix or side fix. Anchor points are required for brackets. All fixings, pulleys cleats are supplied.
• The shade film will require a join (seam) across the width for screens which are bigger than 1800 mm in both width and drop.
• The bottom of the roller screens are finished with a weighted anodised aluminium bottom bar. Roller screens are available with a spring roller, side chain clutch control or electric operation.
In addition to shade film there are a wide range of flame retardant fabrics also available including blackout and Lyverscreen partial vision fabric. Fabric type roller blinds are more suited to very dusty environments. They cannot be seen through but are effective sun visors. We will be happy to discuss your individual requirements.
