2015 UPDATE

Well it’s that time of year where we close for the festive season (see the website for further info on dates & times).

2015 has been quite a good year for Solar Solve, it has seen us celebrate our 40th Anniversary in business, we have moved to a new location in Waldridge Way, based in Simonside East Industrial Park around 1 mile from our old Port of Tyne facility in November. Below is a few excerpts from John’s newsletter article on the move….

“We expect to benefit from a more environmentally friendly site with no noise or dust that were two of the major hazards in the Port of Tyne”

“With 4 months in which to complete then relocation we have been able to undertake a lot of the work using our very capable team. Because the new building is virtually the same size as our Tyne Dock Facility the production layout will be almost identical”

“We spent ten successful years at the Port of Tyne and we hope to enjoy another positive decade serving our customers from Simonside East Industrial Park”

I did hint in the last blog that we had some big news! We actually closed the business for 3 days, this was the first time we have ever closed the business (not including festive holidays). Quotation requests were being dealt with, within 24 hours after Leanne was up and running. All staff mucked in to ensure that production was ready and we were up and running within the 3 days. A great effort by all involved!

The year has also seen both Ian Ratcliffe (ICT Co-ordinator) and Krys Short (Technical Officer) celebrate 10 years’ service with the company. The below picture shows both lads receiving recognition of the achievement from Lillian & John.

Although the final figures are not yet in it looks like we have beaten last year’s sales figure which is also good news.

So as I close the blog for the year may I wish all readers a Merry Christmas and very happy and prosperous New Year!
