If January is any indication, we at Solar Solve are looking forward to another good year. For that reason, I want to share with readers some witticisms we have around the factory and offices here at our headquarters in South Shields, close to the river Tyne in North East England.
The wisecracks are taken from wall decorations, placards, posters, coasters and such like and include:-
‘MANAGER – The person in this office is thought to have no brains, expertise or experience – However, she is in here and you are out there.’
‘I don’t have a solution but I admire the problem.’
‘Caution men at work – Women work all the time – Men have to put signs up when they work.’
‘Everyone brings joy to this office – Some when they enter and some when they leave.’
‘We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, have been doing the unbelievable for so long, with so little, we now attempt the impossible with nothing.’
‘ENTRANCE ONLY – DO NOT ENTER’
‘If your request is really urgent I would have done it already.’
‘WATCH OUT – Whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly.’
‘I’m busy now – can I ignore you some other time?’
‘TO ERR IS HUMAN – To forgive is against company policy.’
‘TELL ME AGAIN HOW LUCKY I AM TO WORK HERE – I keep forgetting.’
‘CONFESSION IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL – But bad for your career.’
‘IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED – Destroy all evidence that you even tried.’
‘I’LL TRY BEING NICER – If you try being smarter.’
‘IF YOU STAY CALM WHILST ALL AROUND YOU IS CHAOS – Then you obviously do not understand the seriousness of the situation.’
‘THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE – UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES.’
It should be pretty obvious which of the above are located in Managing Director Julie’s office.
We also have quite a few that are intended to convey a thoughtful message. Here are some of them:-

‘Life Isn’t About Finding Yourself – Life IS About Creating Yourself.’
‘PRIDE – Personal Responsibility Is Delivering Excellence.’

‘IF WE DON’T TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER – Somebody else will.’

‘WARNING – Fork Lift Trucks’
