WHO WE ARE – This privacy policy is for Solar Solve Ltd (SSL) and governs the privacy of anyone who chooses to use any of the facilities or services the company offers.  Solar Solve Ltd (SSL), is an organisation with customers and enquirers all over the world.  We have to make contact with them to enable us to process their requests.  Therefore, we do take contact details that normally include the person’s name, job title, telephone numbers (depending on which ones they supply us with), email address and postal address.

We take great care to ensure that someone’s personal contact details, which are very important to us and vital in the course of conducting our business, are accurate, safely stored and remain confidential.  Personal contact information in the form of hard copy is stored in secure areas of our facility, with electronic storage being password protected.  Access to both types of storage is limited to only those employees of SSL who need to have it.

TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT – As well as the typical data (your personal contact information consisting of name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number(s)), collected when someone requests a service that we provide, no matter how they contact us for that service; anyone who accesses the www.solasolv.com website will be supplying us with additional information as follows:

  • WEBSITE COOKIES – the solasolv.com website has been created using WordPress tools and like most websites it uses cookies to collect information.  Cookies are small data files which are placed on computers or other devices as you browse this website to remember things like when your computer visits our website.
  • ANALYTIC TOOLS– When someone visits www.solasolv.com we use a third party analytic service to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow our service provider to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
  • OTHER WEBSITE DATA COLLECTION SERVICE PROVIDERS – The other service providers we use collect data relating to visitor numbers and where they came from, where they are located and which Internet Service Provider they used to find the solasolv.com website.  We also record how many visitors opt to use our website chat facility plus other statistics relating to the service.

THIRD PARTIES – Personal Contact Information will not be distributed to third party organisations for processing by them unless it is absolutely necessary and the individual enquirer is aware that such an action is necessary, to successfully service the enquiry or to process an order.

PLACES WHERE PEROSNAL CONTACT INFORMATION MAY BE TRANSFERRED – SSL offers a world-wide delivery service.  Personal contact information, when necessary to enable an order or request for information to be completed, will be transferred globally.

THE PURPOSE OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION – Solar Solve Ltd (SSL), is an organisation with customers and enquirers all over the world.  We have to make contact with them to enable us to process their orders or other requests.  Therefore, we do take contact details that normally include the person’s name, job title, telephone numbers (depending on which ones they supply us with), email address and postal address.

We use that information in a number of ways: to respond to requests for quotations or other types of information; to liaise as part of SSL’s order processing contract-review; for warranty purposes, to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.

SSL wants to stay in contact with its customers/potential customers for a legitimate business reason. One way we might do this is by posting you a copy of our annual newsletter and Christmas Greetings, during December of every year.

We don’t sell, rent or trade email lists with any other organisations or businesses.

LENGTH OF TIME SSL WILL RETAIN PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION FOR PROCESSING – We will process your personal contact information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the ‘Purpose Of Processing Your Personal Contact Information’ as mentioned in the previous section and in accordance with applicable law. Or until you make us aware you do not want us to process your personal contact information any longer.

YOUR RIGHTS OF ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION – You have the right to, (i) be informed about the personal data SSL is processing about you; (ii) get your personal data rectified and/or erased if it is incorrect and (iii) object to the processing of your personal data and have it erased.

LODGING A COMPLAINT WITH A GDPR SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

If you are not happy with the way SSL is processing your personal contact details or the way that SSL staff have dealt with your requests, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.  You can do it at any time. Please contact your local data protection agency/supervisory authority.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE – This Solar Solve Ltd Privacy Policy was reviewed, extensively updated and reissued on 23rd August 2022.  It will be reviewed annually as part of SSL’s Quality Management Policy.
