Solar Solve Marine the South Shield’s based manufacturer of SOLASOLV® roller screens for ships’ navigation bridge windows is delighted to be supporting a young local football team from Hebburn.
Hebburn Town Gold Madrid under 7’s was set up in June 2019 and consists of 8 kids who train at Hebburn Clegwell and normally play their games at Temple Park on a Saturday morning.
There are 6 to 7 other football teams in Hebburn of a similar age group and they play each other on a regular basis. The team is managed by Steven Simpson and Howard Lydon and they happened win their last game 2-0.
The team was invited down to Solar Solve’s factory to collect their cheque for £200 which will go towards funding for winter jackets for the team.
Carl Johnson, Solar Solve’s Operations Manager who presented the cheque commented,
“Solar Solve Marine is very proud to be part of South Tyneside and likes to provide as much help as it can to the local community. By making this donation we are helping to support a young team who just want to go and play football. We hope the donation goes a long way to help purchase the winter jackets to keep them warm during the winter months ahead.”
