UK based Solar Solve Marine has received a series of orders from GulfMark Americas Inc. totalling more than £10,000 GBP for it’s SOLASOLV ® class approved roller screens. The screens will be installed at the navigation bridge windows on four Platform Supply Vessels – the Triple Play, First and Ten, Double Eagle and Hat Trick.
GulfMark Americas Inc. has it’s headquarters in Houston, Texas, USA, and operates and manages a modern fleet of offshore vessels, including PSV’s, Anchor Handling, Towing Supply, Fast Supply, Crewboats and Specialty Vessels. Their primary business is marine transportation services supporting the upstream oil and gas industry.
SOLASOLV® anti-glare screens are installed at the windows of all types of ships, rigs and cranes worldwide. They are regarded as an essential safety product, effectively rejecting up to 87% of heat and up to 93% of glare from the sun to significantly reduce eye-strain. Visual displays are easier to read and a clear outward view is maintained for safer navigation and marine operations. A more comfortable temperature means the ships’ crew are less prone to fatigue which can cause human error. Suitable for newbuilds and retrofits, SOLASOLV® screens are guaranteed for 7 years and Type Approved by Lloyds, ABS and DNV-GL.
Paul Hopkins, Sales & Marketing Executive commented, “A number of SOLASOLV® screens were originally supplied by our Distributor in Singapore and installed when the vessels were built at Bollinger Shipyard in the USA back in 2007 and 2008. GulfMark has been installing SOLASOLV® screens since 1997 and these latest orders shows that they must be satisfied with the quality, service and reliability that the SOLASOLV® sunscreen brand offers.”
